To display iCloud events in Dashbd, you'll first need to get a link (URL) of your Apple Calendar. You can do this either on your iPhone/iPad or via www.icloud.com.
Option 1: Getting my Calendar link using an iPhone/iPad
- 1. Open the Calendar app on your iPhone/iPad
- 2. Tap the Calendars button at the bottom of the screen

3. Under the iCloud section, tap the Info button to the
right of the calendar you'd like to display in Dashbd.

4. Scroll down and enable Public Calendar, then tap the
"Share Link..." button. You can now paste this link in Dashbd by
using the remote input functionality of the Apple TV.
- You can repeat these steps if you need to add additional calendars later.
Option 2: Getting my Calendar Url from icloud.com
- 1. On your desktop/laptop, open a browser and navigate to www.icloud.com
- 2. Click on the Calendar icon
- 3. To the left of your screen you'll see a list of your calendars. Click on the Share button next to the calendar you'd like to export.

4. In the Calendar Sharing popup, check the Public Calendar option. You'll see a link appear below. You
may need to triple-click this link to ensure you've selected the entire
url. It should look like this:

- You can now paste this link in Dashbd by using the remote input functionality of the Apple TV on an iPad or iPhone.

How to create an app specific password with Apple
If you need to connect Dashbd to your Apple account using an app-specific password, follow these steps:
- 1. Go to account.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
- 2. In the Security section, find "App-Specific Passwords" and click "Generate Password..."
- 3. Enter a label for the password (e.g., "Dashbd") and click "Create".
- 4. Copy the generated password. You'll only see it once, so make sure to save it securely.
- 5. Use this app-specific password when connecting Dashbd to your Apple account.

Which calendar services can I connect?
Calendar supports Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook/Azure, private Apple iCloud calendars through CalDAV, and public iCal or Webcal links. You can connect multiple sources and choose which calendars are visible.

Should I use an iCal link or connect my iCloud account?
Use an iCal/Webcal link when the calendar can be public and you only need a simple read-only feed. To keep an iCloud calendar private, choose Apple iCloud in Calendar settings and sign in with your Apple ID plus an app-specific password. Never enter your normal Apple ID password in Dashbd.

Press Play/Pause on the remote to open settings, go to Calendars, and make sure the new calendar is enabled. If it is not listed, disconnect and reconnect that calendar provider to refresh the provider's calendar list.

Yes. Open Calendar settings, select Calendars, and enable only the calendars you want to display. You can assign a custom color to each calendar and turn calendar colors on or off in the display settings.

Yes. Calendar offers list and grid layouts with Day, Next 24 hours, Week, Next 7 days, and Month periods. You can also choose the first day of the week, visible hours, number of days, 12- or 24-hour time, and whether past events remain visible.

Open the calendar display settings. Enable Merge duplicates to combine events with the same title and start/end times. You can also independently hide declined events and past events.

sources that require a login, private network, or custom request headers.

Choose Arrive by or Depart at, enter the time in 24-hour HH:mm format, and select the active weekdays. Without a TomTom API key the widget uses a traffic-free route estimate; adding your own key enables live-traffic routing.

No. Home widgets are read-only snapshots. You can choose an overview, room-based, or detail layout and filter the homes, rooms, devices, accessories, or values shown, but device control stays in Apple Home or Google Home.

Enter the content you want encoded, such as a website URL, plain text, or a standard Wi-Fi connection payload. Test the finished code with a phone before displaying it publicly, especially if it contains network details.

Turn on Prevent sleep in App Settings to ask the device to stay awake while Dashbd is open. Your TV, streaming device, HDMI-CEC, or power-saving settings can still switch the display off, so check those separately if the screen continues to sleep.

Countdown by Dashbd includes four remote-friendly modes. Countdown runs a duration down to zero; Count up works like a stopwatch; Time since measures from a past date and time; and Time until measures to a future date and time. Every widget can have its own title. Pro also unlocks multiple widgets, continuous viewing, and a separate background color for each widget.

How often does Stocks update market data?
Stocks Free supports up to two symbols and refreshes every 30 minutes. Pro offers refresh intervals down to one minute, up to five symbols per widget, and higher-resolution charts. The app shows the selected refresh interval and the freshness of the latest available quote. Exchange data may still be real-time, delayed, end-of-day, or unavailable depending on the instrument, exchange, region, provider, and market status.

Open the phone editor from Sticky Notes on your TV and scan its QR code. Keep the TV app open and make sure the phone and TV are on the same local network. Your phone connects directly to the temporary server on the TV, so text and position changes appear in real time. The link expires when the editing session closes; do not share it.
If the page does not open, disconnect a VPN or guest Wi-Fi and check whether the router isolates wireless devices. Some managed networks block device-to-device traffic even when both devices show the same Wi-Fi name.

Photos are a Pro feature, with one JPEG, PNG, or WebP image of up to 5 MB per note. Note text and layout remain on your TV; photos are stored separately in private Dashbd storage. Replacing or removing a photo deletes the previous private object. Existing photos stay readable after a downgrade, but a current Pro entitlement is required to upload a new one.

Are my calendar credentials and events private?
Calendar authentication data stays on the device and is excluded from support diagnostics. Dashbd reads calendar data to render your schedule; it does not edit your source calendars. If you voluntarily send diagnostics, the confirmation explains that event titles, times, and descriptions may be included for debugging, while authentication data is never sent.

First confirm the TV device is online and the calendar, weather location, market symbol, feed, or URL is still available. Reopen the app, verify the source is enabled in its widget settings, and reconnect the provider if its authorization or password changed. For iCloud, generate a new app-specific password if the old one was revoked.
